Theology of One

The Theology of One is grounded in Scripture. Our Lord Jesus prayed “Sanctify them by the truth; your Word is truth”. We have a diverse faith in our Christian communities that hinder us from the oneness in faith that Jesus intended. In the same prayer he said, “I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one”.
The goal of this blog is to bring unity through liked mindedness of the interpretation of Scripture. The Lord has given me a great desire to study His Word.  I am a layman who has studied the Scriptures for over 40 years with very little institutional influence just the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I have written many unpublished papers as well as a manual (survey, book) with over 100 citation that support my theology. The diversity of faith in our “Christian communities” have divide God’s people. My goal toward oneness is to be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11 “Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true." Discussion is welcome but within the limits of the basic tenet.  All points will be measured by the tenet. May the Lord Jesus bless this endeavor.

The Almighty's A.I

The Almighty’s Image (Christ’s A.I.)

The Scriptures reveal to us that Jesus is the Son of God and the image of God.

Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature Colossians 1:15 Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person Hebrews 1:3

They also reveal to us that Jesus is the second and last Adam;

And so, it is written, the first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit…The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven. 1 Corinthians 15:47,49

Scripture also reveals to us the that Adam was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26) and that Adam was the son of God

Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God. Luke 3:38

In the genealogy of Luke 3 Jesus’ line is traced back to Adam. Jesus is the seed of the woman (the original nature of Adam) spoke of Genesis 3:15.

By Jesus being the second and Last Adam there leave no room for other descendant to be the sons of God. By these verses we can determine that Jesus was and is the only other human born with Adams original nature, a son bearing the image of the Almighty.

After the Fall Adam an Eve began having children in hope of the savior to be born, but all Adams posterity we not sons of God, they are sons of Fallen Adam

And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begat a son in his own likeness, and after his image; and called his name Seth: Genesis 5:3

There was no Adam image bearer son of God, no Adam 1.1. His posterity was born in Adam fallen likeness and image. The sonship and image were lost to those born by Adam.

Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned: Romans 5:12

We are born fallen creatures. We are the children of disobedience but because of Jesus we who are the elect of God, by faith, obtain sonship and are conformed into the image of Christ.

For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: Romans 8:15-16

For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Romans 8:29

Sonship was lost therefore the image both are obtained we were are known by God and become His children. I will continue in this line of thought as the Lord permits.
